Cadet Honor Academy

December 27th, 2018 thru January 1st, 2019

Fort Knox, Kentucky

The Kentucky Wing Cadet Honor Academy will prepare cadets to serve on a Honor Guard and will simultaneously further their individual character development. This academy will be held at Fort Knox, Kentucky December 27th, 2018 thru January 1st, 2019. There are limited opportunities, as only four cadets per squadron may attend. Potential applicants must submit a letter of intent, and CAPF’s 31, 60-80, 160, 161 and 163 to their unit commanders by December 7th. Due to the demanding physical element of this course, all applicants must be Physical Category 1, unrestricted, to attend. Commanders must ensure that all applicants meet grooming standards. There has been a resurgence of hair length violations and this must be addressed at the unit level. Unit commanders are encouraged to appoint a Special Activities Selection Board and conduct a review of each applicant. Units must make their selections by December the 10th and forward their selections and all associated paperwork to honor@kywg.cap.gov. Payment must be made by December 14th.

In the event that a unit does not have four members to select, those empty seats fall to that units respective group and the Group Commander can give them to a unit under their command. Unfortunately, Cadet Encampment Assistance Program (CEAP) Scholarships are not available for this type of activity. The registration fee is $150.00 per participant.

We desire to afford each unit the opportunity to be part of this dynamic experience and to mentally and physically challenge themselves! Please contact honor@kywg.cap.gov with any questions or concerns. Apply early, apply today!
